Treatment Programs
MENTAL DISORDERS
The programs offered include the treatment of all mental disorders that may present themselves in varied forms. Usually these involve a state of the mind wherein the diagnosed individual appears to have lost contact with reality. Such individuals have significant personality changes and thought disorder.
From smiling and muttering to themselves to believing that they are being spied upon and preferring to keep away from human contact are some ways in which psychosis (Schizophrenia) presents itself. Sometimes the illness can manifest itself in the form of severe mood swings where the individual’s mood seems to swing between two polarities. So essentially the individual is either very hyper, having racing thoughts and behaves like there is a motor attached to him/her, or is extremely sad and melancholic for no significant reason and seems to have lost the zest for life (Bipolar Affective Disorder) Depending on its severity, this may also include unusual or bizarre behavior and difficulties with social interaction, maintaining hygiene/personal grooming and facing difficulties in carrying out basic daily life activities. This condition renders the individual dysfunctional and they and their lives become unmanageable. Interventions in the form of medication and psychotherapy are strongly recommended for such individuals.
SUBSTANCE ABUSE/GAMBLING/INTERNET ADDICTION
Substance Abuse, commonly known as Addiction, is a condition that results due to a pattern of continuous use of any substance like alcohol, cannabis (hash/weed), cocaine, cough syrups, sleeping pills, opioids and such, or engagement in an activity like sex, gambling, shopping, eating, Internet usage that is pleasurable but the continuous use/act of the same becomes obsessive and compulsive and leads to dysfunctionality in all spheres of life. Ordinary life responsibilities take a backseat and the individual is unable to focus at work /school or college. Along with physical deterioration, Addiction brings with it a change in the attitude and personality of the user. Manipulative, pathological lying, aggression and stealing are a few problem personality traits in an addict that need to be worked upon. Treatment includes medical management of withdrawals (detoxification) to intensive psycho-social interventions that are carried out in the form of group sessions and one-on-one sessions.

AFTER CARE
Post the in-patient treatment phase, the next step in the treatment process that is offered is After Care. We believe that the transition from being in a sterile environment free of any life stressors to mainstream life brings its own anxieties to the patient and their families. We know that this is a crucial time when the patient needs our support and guidance. We encourage our patients to discuss the problems they are encountering in maintaining their sobriety/treatment goals. We create individualized day care programs for our patients to help them prevent a relapse. We strongly recommend day care services as it facilitates communication with the treatment team on a daily basis and prevents any accumulation of emotional baggage in the patient as they get an opportunity to talk
about their issues with a professional as and when required. The schedule is designed in such a way that they come for therapy on a daily basis and interact with the treating team. Moreover,After Care programs also include family involvement. The therapy is extended to the family members of the patient to help them process their own fears and anxieties about the patient’s behavior post the treatment and rehabilitation phase.
