I was always a problem child & got stuck in one mess or another. However, as I hit my teens my behavior started becoming difficult as I thought no one understood me. I was impulsive & had extreme mood swings. I started taking drugs and this made my life miserable. That's when my parents admitted me for in-patient care at Institute Hope-Deaddiction. I met Dr. Deepak Raheja and became a willing voluntary admission filled with the need to improve and recover. The compassionate clinical guidance stood by me like a rock in all my duress that helped me beat my personality issues. Today, I'm still given to a few off track days but am largely in control of my wavering impulsive thoughts.

I was born & brought up in a rich family. I had all the luxuries & wanted in life but never valued them. If i didn't get what I wanted, I created havoc. Nothing ever concerned me. I would sell off things from the house if my needs were not met. I had an erratic behaviour. Born into an affluent family I was married into a moneyed family and really had no worries in life. Then after 30 years of my marriage collapsed as my husband found someone else. I was stressed and under tremendous depression. The loneliness gave birth to addictive personality and within no time I became an alcoholic. Shunned by my kids and the high flying society of which i was a part, I found solace in alcohol. The depression overpowered a lot & I started drinking during the day, bribing the help at home to get me alcohol and compromising with my self-respect. I do still fight my demons but without alcohol.
